Special Deer Archery: This permit allows a person to take a second deer during the archery season. This permit must be purchased at the same time the archery license is purchased. It may not be purchased later. A second archery deer tag is issued with this license.
Pheasant: This license allows a person to hunt pheasant during the pheasant season. A current NH hunting, combination hunting and fishing license, small game, or archery license is also required.
Wild Turkey:This permit allows a person to hunt turkey during the open seasons. A current NH Hunting, archery or combination license is also required. There is a spring and fall season for Turkey with separate weapon requirements (see the NH Hunting Digest for details.) Two tags are issued with this permit for the spring and/or fall seasons.
There also are separate fluorescent orange requirements for the after-Christmas deer seasons. Statewide, archery and flintlock hunters are not required to wear fluorescent orange. Mounted archery got its start as a standardized discipline in Hungary about 30 years ago. Kassai Lajos, the founder of the sport in Hungary, came to the U.S. in 1998 to hold a demonstration. By 2005, interest had grown enough to support the forming of the Mounted Archery Association of the America. Then Katrina Kruse essentially founded the sport in Australia in 2011, and New Zealand in 2014.
These products are your basic low priced beginner items to just get you started in the sport until you decide you want to take to the sport more seriously. Once you are ready to learn more or get serious we highly recommend the product selection and guidance from Australia's leading horse archery instructor Katrina Kruse - Medieval Horse Sports Australia.

Like other states in the midwest Iowa produces some outstanding white-tailed deer. Abundant food and mild winter weather make it possible for Iowa's whitetails to become large in body weight and, if allowed to grow to maturity, often possess impressive antlers. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) maintains a record book of the largest antlered deer harvested in the state with firearms and archery equipment. Those who successfully harvest a deer in Iowa with trophy-sized antlers are encouraged to enter the rack in Iowa's big game registry. Award certificates will be issued by the DNR to eligible entries that meet minimum standards (shown below). In order to qualify for an award, the rack must be measured by an official measurer. You can search for an official measure in Iowa by searching those certified through the Boone and Crockett Club) or the Pope and Young Club.

An antler restriction is in place to reduce harvest of young bucks in a portion of the Catskills in southeastern New York. The antler restriction REQUIRES that bucks taken in the antler restriction units have at least one antler with 3 points (or more) which are at least one inch long. This restriction applies to the archery, regular and muzzleloading seasons. Hunters aged 12-16 years are exempt from this restriction. For more information see Antler Restrictions in New York.
Montana offers a six-week archery season; a five-week general big game season; a 101-day waterfowl season; spring and fall turkey and bear seasons; a six-month wolf season, and a liberal upland game bird season.
In Montana, there are two primary types of licenses: General licenses that can be purchased over the counter; and special limited permits and licenses that are available through drawings. The availability of special limited permits and licenses is dependent on the hunting district and/or species you want to hunt, and what you would like to hunt with, such as rifle or archery equipment. Different permits have different deadlines, listed below and on the individual species guide pages.

This permit allows a person with a disability to use modified archery tackle that supports the bow, and draws, holds, and releases the string to accommodate the individual's disability. The permit holder must have a companion to assist in aspects of the hunt. The companion may also assist the permit holder by hunting (by the legal use of archery equipment only) a game animal that has been wounded by the permit holder when the hunter with a disability is unable to pursue and kill the wounded animal. Crossbows may not be used during archery season.
Successfully obtaining a Combination license is just the first step to a memorable Montana hunt. Hunters have a wide variety of options available to specialize their hunts: early archery hunts; late season migration hunts; remote backcountry areas; limited access areas with some true trophy animals; or even some additional licenses to add more meat to your freezer.
Hunters must wear at least 500 square inches of solid blaze orange or pink material as an outer garment above the waist. This must include a hat or head covering while hunting deer, elk, pronghorn, moose or bear during any firearm seasons. Orange camouflage does not count toward this requirement and bow hunters are not required to wear blaze colors during archery-only seasons.
Hunters (and their companions) of game birds or mammals (in firearm areas) on public hunting lands must wear a solid blaze orange shirt, vest, jacket, or coat. Exception: designated archery-only public hunting areas.
During deer firearm season, hunters must wear a minimum of 400 square inches of exterior blaze orange or pink above the waist, including a hat. Quail and woodcock hunters and hunters participating in special dog seasons for rabbit, squirrel and feral hogs are required to wear at least a blaze orange or pink hat. 400 square inches of blaze orange or pink must be displayed by concealed blinds. Exceptions: Hunters hunting in elevated stands; on privately owned land, a blaze orange or pink hat may meet the minimum requirements; and archery hunters hunting on land not open to firearms.
Hunters (and their companions) must wear a solid blaze orange or pink hat, vest or jacket with at least 250 square inches of solid blaze orange or pink, or an exterior fluorescent camouflage garment above the waist that is at least fifty percent blaze orange or pink. This amount of blaze orange or pink must also be displayed while hunting from ground blinds. Exceptions: hunters of wetland game birds, doves, crows, and wild turkeys; falconers; and bow hunters during archery season.
All firearm hunters on any land during daylight hours must wear a blaze orange hat, vest, jacket, or rain gear. Camouflage that is at least fifty percent blaze orange is acceptable. Exception: Archery hunters during archery deer season; archery bear hunters; turkey and migratory bird hunters; falconers; stationary hunters pursuing bobcat, coyote, or fox. 59ce067264
